About: Habibi is a lush French Moroccan supper club onthe Miami River waterfront.The destination restaurant, bar, and lounge evoke a royal escape to the French Moroccan Riviera while drawing on vibrant bites, cocktails, and an enchanting nighttime scene. The restaurant has a capacity of 200 and will include an outdoor patio with plans for sunset parties and a bar adorned with hookahs that will also feature a one-of-a-kind tableside hookah service with customized infusions and flavors. Nightly shows of roving belly dancers, contortionists, and percussionists who will circle the dining room will enhance the nightlife-as-theater experience. The menu encompasses a variety of tasty continental and Middle Eastern shareable dishes appealing to a broad range of palates. The bar program at Habibi draws on the North African and Mediterranean lifestyle, showcasing unique ingredients and flavors that induce a strong sense of place. Position Overview The Maitre'd atHabibi ensures exceptional guest service and smooth restaurant operations. They oversee the front-of-house staff, manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and handle guest inquiries and complaints. The Maitre'd plays a crucial role in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for high-quality service and ensuring an unforgettable dining experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities Guest Relations: Greet guests as they arrive and thank them as they leave. Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Assist guests with special requests and accommodations. Reservations Management: Manage and organize restaurant reservations through the booking system. Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and efficient seating. Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, and special occasions. Seating Coordination: Assign guests to tables and optimize seating arrangements based on server sections and guest preferences. Monitor and manage table turnover to maximize restaurant capacity and guest satisfaction. Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure a smooth flow of service. Staff Supervision: Supervise and train front-of-house staff, including hosts/hostesses and servers. Schedule and coordinate staff shifts and breaks. Ensure staff adherence to restaurant policies, procedures, and standards of service. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the kitchen and service staff. Relay important information, such as special requests or dietary restrictions, to the appropriate team members. Coordinate with management on daily operations and special events. Administrative Tasks: Manage the restaurant's waiting list during peak hours. Prepare and present daily reports on reservations, seating, and guest feedback. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess stand and front-of-house area. Other duties as required Requirements Previous experience in a similar role in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in reservation management software and basic computer skills. Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, as well as restaurant operations. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Professional demeanor and appearance. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations. Passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
